You Make My Heart Sing!

Harvesting Wild Rosa rugosa petals by the sound

Rose petals infusing in brandy and raw local honey

This is one of my favorite medicinal formulas to make and I feel honored to be able to share the soft healing powers of the Rose with you

Whether you are experiencing grief, heartache or just looking to open your heart to the world this is a gentle and nourishing medicine to instill a sense of peace and loving expansion.

You Make My Heart Sing!!

This elixir is a little bottle of love.

With loving intention, I hand picked wild beach rose petals from some of my favorite beaches on the North Fork of Long Island and infused them for 6 weeks in brandy and local honey.

The delicate sweet flavor is sure to bring a smile to your lips.

The medicine of the Rose on a physical level is toning and cooling to the heart, calming the heat that often comes with heavy emotions.

On a spiritual level, Rose is considered an exhilarant, which helps the heart to feel joy.

In addition to the medicine of the Rose, I have added flower essences for gentle healing and support:

Bleeding Heart to cool the emotional heart and provide comfort and support when surrender is necessary.

Borage flower for the courage to honor and carry heavy emotions.

Columbine flower to impart a new sense of identity and passion in times of great transition.

You Make My Heart Sing Affirmation:
I bow my head and surrender,
For I am protected
I allow my heart to soften
I hold the courage and power to transform
I will shine.

Repeat this affirmation to yourself when taking this internal formula.

Or create your own affirmation that feels right for you.

How to work with this formula:

This Rose elixir “You Make My Heart Sing” can be taken in a few different ways.

To begin I recommend starting slow and taking 4 drops 4x/day. This is a common dosage for flower essences and is considered more of an energetic or vibrational dose. Continue this for about 3 weeks then take a short break.

You may take this as you would any other tincture and put 10-30 drops in a small amount of water or directly on the tongue 1-3x/day. This is considered a higher dose and works on the physical body as well as the energetic body.

Personally I tend to do a combination of the two depending on what I am going through and what resonates best in my body.

You may also put a few drops in your water bottle before you head out for the day.

Whatever you chose, just be consistent and be present. You want the vibration of the plant to remain high in your body so you can receive the healing. Pay attention to how you feel and what you think.

Journal often and listen to your body.

A lot can be learned from ingesting an herb, sitting in meditation and paying attention to what comes up.

If for any reason you start to feel overwhelmed with emotion or physical sensation you can always take a break and come back later.
